Tim is a Louisiana and graduate of the University of Louisiana, Lafayette who completed his medical training at LSUHSC in New Orleans in 2003. He and his wife Kyla moved to the Hoosier state shortly thereafter so that he could pursue further training in emergency medicine.Tim served as a chief resident and completed his EM training in 2006. He stayed in Indy to assist and complete a two year fellowship in crtical care medicine, one of the first multi-disciplinary educational opportunities of its type in the US. He has recieved resident awards for resident teaching, IUEM Residency Impact awards for his work with the critical care educational program and with resident research, and most recently the Outstanding Teaching Faculty of the year award from the Transitional Residency Program.
Tim completed his board certification in 2008, joined the Department of Emergency Medicine as one of our new Methodist based faculty, and has taken a position as co-director of the . His academic interests include septic shock research ( ), critical care educational development, and the study of the ED-ICU transition/interface. He serves on both the and Society of Critical Care Medicine ( ) Emergency Medicine Commitees where he is active in furthering EM interests and certification. When he is away from work, Tim enjoys outdoor such as biking and hiking, exploring the midwest, and cooking with his wife and friends.
