He remained in New York City to complete a residency in Emergency Medicine at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center where he was selected Chief Resident in 2009. He was recruited to Indiana University School of Medicine as Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine directly following residency training and started clinical work at IU Health Methodist Hospital Emergency Medicine and Trauma Center in 2010. He earned board certification in Emergency Medicine the following year.

He publishes on a variety of topics in Emergency Medicine, including brief critiques of systematic reviews for Annals of Emergency Medicine's Evidence-based Emergency Medicine section.
Jonathan is a proud husband and father of two and loves to spend time outdoors, hiking, running, and enjoying the finer things in life.
