Antoine grew up on the south side of Chicago, IL and is the second oldest of 6 siblings. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Eureka College, the alma mater of former President, Ronald Reagan. During his undergraduate years, Antoine played NAIA division III collegiate basketball. Prior to medical school, Antoine worked as a laboratory technician at Eureka Hospital, where he found his inspiration for medicine. He received his medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in 2007.
Antoine started residency in Emergency Medicine at Indiana University in 2007. As a result of his community service involvement with IUEM’s Advocacy program, Antoine was awarded the Resident Impact Award. Upon completion of residency in 2010, Antoine joined the full time clinical teaching faculty at Eskenazi Health, (formerly Wishard) and currently serves as Co-Chair for the Department of Emergency Medicine's diversity task force. He has joined Dr. Treadwell as Co-Chair for IUSM’s Diversity Council.
His scholarship focuses on diversity, inclusion and cultural competency in emergency medicine with special interests in mentoring at-risk youth, advocacy, and international health.
The majority of his free time is spent traveling to visit family in Chicago and Georgia with his wife, Heneicia and son, Noah. Antoine enjoys basketball and bowling and hopes to be a semi-professional bowler someday.
